Costa Rica National Parks
Costa Rica has become widely known around the world for its environmental initiatives which are focused on the conservation and protection of the country’s flora and fauna. Whether terrestrial or aquatic, Costa Rica’s National Parks are designed to provide a place where people can come and experience the beauty that the Earth has to offer while also providing a home to 3% of the world’s biodiversity and 3.5% of the planet’s marine life. Costa Rica’s newest national park, Los Quetzales, is the 28th national park established in the country. It houses 25 different endemic species and increases the country’s protected territory to 26%, or three million acres.
